In FinView, workflows are integral to the management of your customer accounts. These workflows depict the sequence of operations, procedures, and communications that a particular case or situation follows. This organized flow can streamline your processes, resulting in improved efficiency and enhanced customer experience.
For an overview on what the FinView workflows are, you can refer to this guide here. Within the customer setup, FinView allows you to setup 5 different types of workflows, which you can learn more about in this guide here.
Creating a New Workflow
To create a new workflow from scratch within a customer account:
- Navigate to the "Workflows" tab within your customer account settings.

- You will be redirected to the workflow builder where you can define and shape your workflow according to your requirements. Once you've set up your workflow and rectified any errors, click "Save".
Your new workflow will now appear in the list of workflows for that customer.
Copying from a Generic Workflow
If you have a default workflow that you'd like to use as a basis for a new workflow, FinView offers an easy way to copy it:
- In the "Workflows" tab within your customer account settings, click on the "Add workflow" button.
- Select the option to "Copy from generic workflow".
- A popup will appear where you can either type the name of the workflow you want to copy, or select it from the drop-down list.
- After selecting the template, you can change the name of the copied workflow, adjust the shortcode to be unique, and add a new description. You also have the option to change the type of workflow.
- Click "Save".
Your newly copied and adjusted workflow will now appear in the list of workflows for that customer. With the flexibility to create new workflows and copy from existing ones, FinView allows you to customize your workflow setup to best cater to each customer's unique needs.
