In FinView, users have two main options when it comes to creating a workflow for a customer. You can either build a workflow specific to that customer directly in the customer account or replicate an existing generic workflow. Here's how to create a customer-specific workflow by copying a pre-existing generic workflow:

  1. Navigate to the Customer Account: Open the customer account where you wish to add a workflow. If you are setting up a new customer, the workflows tab will become available after you've completed entering your finance settings.
  2. Go to the Workflows Tab: Within the customer account, find and click on the 'Workflows' tab.
  3. Add a New Workflow: Within the 'Workflows' tab, look for and click the 'Add workflow' button to initiate the process.
  4. Select 'Copy from Generic Workflow': When the 'Add workflow' options appear, select 'Copy from Generic Workflow'. This will allow you to duplicate a previously created generic workflow for your customer.
  5. Choose the Workflow to Copy: Select the generic workflow you wish to replicate from the drop-down menu. You can also type in the name of the workflow to filter the options.
  6. Modify the Workflow Details: Revise the workflow name, short code, and description to suit your customer's specific needs. Remember to ensure these details are meaningful and easily recognizable in the context of this customer.
  7. Define Workflow Type: The copied workflow will inherit the same workflow type as the original by default. If you want to change this, select the appropriate type from the drop-down menu.
  8. Create the Workflow: Once you've configured everything to your liking, click on 'Create Workflow'. FinView will then duplicate the selected workflow, applying your custom settings to make this workflow unique to your customer.

Upon creation, your new, customer-specific workflow will appear in the workflows list for that customer. Now you can manage your customer cases more efficiently, tailoring your workflow strategies to individual customer needs.
